Good Grief, it's March!

What? It's March again? How can this be? It was just January like yesterday. sigh Oh well, moving on.

I'm glad to be through with February. It was a very tough month at times, mostly due to work stuff. It really sucks when you put a lot of time & effort into your work, only to get told it wasn't enough. I take great pride in the fact that I work very hard (as I'm sure most of my friends that read this do as well), & to have your PtB (Powers that Be) tell you "Wow, is that all you've got?" is a pretty cold slap in the face. Things did get a bit better last week, mostly because I did something I really haven't done in other jobs - I took a stand. I knew I was doing all I could, working my butt off, so there was no way I was going to take their crap lying down. So I spoke up, & I said my peace. I was professional, & I didn't let my emotions get in the way (which is a problem sometimes - shocking, I know). I was actually kinda proud of myself. And it paid off. Things got a little better. So I'm going to keep using that going into this new month, where I have to start my billing process (& therefore my set of headaches) all over again.

Stay tuned for updates... I'm sure it'll all go to hell here soon.

And I'm Free... Free Fallin'...

There are times lately where I've found myself wandering, both mentally & emotionally, not exactly sure where I'm heading. I'm not sure if this is a continuation of my "funk" from New Year's or what exactly. Maybe it's the weather, I dunno. All I know is I need a break - a place to recharge the batteries, restore the soul.

sigh Perhaps someday, soon.

Weekend Update

Thought I would get in a quick post for an update... my laptop bit the dust about a week ago, & I've had limited access to a 'puter, hence the lack of updates. =)

The upside is that my back is much better than in my last post. I didn't end up needing a cortisone shot (yay!), & the pain is pretty manageable, even non-existent most days. I still get "twinges" here & there, & if I sit/stand/lie down for any long stretch it tends to act up, but all in all it's much better. It just means I have to get up from the bar stool @ the Boneyard more often. ;-) *whoot!*

I do have new pics of the updates to the house also, which I will post separately. Our contractor, Chad, is taking pics also, & he was kind enough to burn a disc for me.

I am SO ready for a short work week this week - as I know much of you are. Altho from recent reads of other's posts, I appear to be the LEAST stressed, for a change. Ya kno, I've heard a good dose of tryptophan works WONDERS! =)

Gobble Gobble!
